Slow Surfing Speeds
Slow speeds can be caused by many different things: spyware, routers, firewalls, bad browser settings,
corrupted Network card or USB drivers, and even bad TCP/IP settings. They're all correctable but first you must find out
what's causing it. Before you call your ISP to complain, do a little troubleshooting and perhaps you can figure out what's going on.
1. POWER CYCLE EVERYTHING
2. TEST YOUR SPEED

Your package with your ISP tells you your MAXIMUM download and upload speeds. If your speed
is 70% or more of what you're rated for, don't bother calling your ISP because most will tell you
that's the range you should be in and I'm not sure if any ISP guarantees speed for a residential account.
3. BYPASS YOUR ROUTER(S)
switches, hubs, and other equipment!!!
No matter how much of an expert you are, your equipment could download a firmware update, be failing,
or just have one incorrect setting and it can cut off your connection or slow you to a crawl.
